Autobiography: Markham was known as a horse trainer and a pilot; she writes about growing up in what is now Kenya...and no less a personage than Ernest Hemingway recommended her book!

I listened to an audio version of this book in 2018, and I've had this trade paperback at least that long..so I think it's time for it to move on!
