This is one of the two novels I brought home from the red telephone box book exchange in Aldwark yesterday when we went for a drive in the countryside and I took a few books to swap on the way. It was good to see some greenery after months of coronavirus lockdown!
I chose it because I've recently enjoyed Other People’s Secrets by this author.

Leaving wintry Yorkshire for a Greek island proved a very pleasant weekend away (virtually, of course . . .)

Arrived on my patio table on a sunny summer's day. Left there safely by my friend and neighbour Nu-Knees.
Nice Greek island setting, well written but a sad story and not very uplifting.
I didn't take to the main character but still had to read to the end so nicely written.
