It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

I bought this book at Bobs Secondhand bookshop, 63 George St. Oldham, England in March 2004.I had enjoyed Greek stuff before and I seemed to be on a general Greece bent, though didn't have any intention of visiting the country on my imminent 7 month WWOOFing trip round Europe.
It's the first book I've read since being away and I like it.I love all he stuff about the Gods especially their lifestyle...gold tankards of nectar and lashings of ambrosia...nothing too over the top for them, and their infighting is comical but it does annoy me how they constantly meddle in the lives of mortals.
It's very educational. I now know where ambrosia cream rice came from, although long lists of peoples names, who's son they are and where they came from can get tedious. As can endless descriptions of who did what to whom in battle, although what they do is deliciously gory - brains splattering in helmets, eyeballs rolling in the dust etc.
It´s heroic stuff. For the men but the women get a raw deal, passed around to whoever has got the upper hand or raffled off as prizes. The Godesses on the other hand hold their own.
I think the incredible thing is the story shows human concerns and behaviour haven't changed....THIS BOOK WAS WRITTEN 2700 YEARS AGO about a time even earlier.
A great read with fetching outfits and Achilles, he gets his way in the end but you always knew that from the start.
