Picked this from the relay site, as I have a few Scarpetta books I have yet to read, and this being the first in the series, I thought I'd start here! Thanks for sharing this, midwinter, and I'll joural again once its read.

This was your typical suspense thriller...The first book by Cornwell to feature her Kay Scarpetta character. This is only the second Cornwell book I've read (The first was Isle of Dogs, which I rather enjoyed, as well!) and I found the character compelling enough that I will read other in this series.
