An excellent book. Bitter-sweet, sad and heartwarming at the same time. I thought it was well-written, but was concerned about the accuracy of the way in which the syndrome was portrayed (more because I felt I was laughing at Christopher at times, rather than with him). The saddest aspect was that Christopher lived in such a world of fear he had no space for humour and joy.

Journal Entry 3 by Miss-R from Southend-on-Sea, Essex United Kingdom on Thursday, September 23, 2004
I've wanted to read this for ages, so I'm really pleased to have got this-Thank you!
I've lent this to my mum as I've got a huge pile of books to read before I get to this. She probably won't journal it but she'll give it back to me when she's finished so I can read it.
My mum gave this back, she didn't really like it much, but I did! I've worked with teenagers with disabilities for about 5 years, so maybe that helped me to understand Christopher. I would recommend this to others.
Not sure what I'll do with this yet-it'll probably end up at the next meetup, or as a bookray.

Thank you so very much.....
Read and enjoyed this very much. Which I thought odd because a dear friend had just described it as annoying.
I have some familiarity with Asperberger's. This book sheds light on this and
other similiar dxes.
And it was terribly funny as well.
Sharing with some friends. Perhaps they will journal.
