Remember the friend who told me about the movie, so I decided to read the book... and then found out it was books plural? Well, now she has the first book and is looking forward to reading the rest after me! She does have a computer...


UPDATED: it's now July, and said friend hasn't started the first book yet. Not so much a reader, I guess. I'm not going to save these for her. If she does end up wanting them, I'm sure I can get them again, one way or another.

This books helped a lot as I'd already read, "Flowers In the Attic." It helped me to understand more of Olivia and Malcolm's character and actually filled in a lot of holes for me. I almost sympathized with her for some of the things she went through rather than having a total dislike for her as I did in, "Flowers of the Attic." It helps to see why she became the cold person she did in the next book. Once again, V.C. Andrews haunting books has kept me wanting to read more in the series.
