I got this book for 50 cents in a thrift shop up at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire back in June. I actually didn’t read though because I found it on CDs at my library so I instead listened to it commuting back & forth to work. Got to love Boston traffic! I found the beginning to be slow but then the story just hits a point and takes off. It’s definitely adds another level of interest to it that it’s told from the dog’s perspective. As a dog lover & owner it really got my gears turning. I gave the book 8 stars and might have given it more but I didn’t like the voice of the narrator (obviously not the author’s fault) because it made the dog sound pretentious/dignified, in my opinion haha If you read this please let me know what you think. I’m interested if this was really caused by the narrator’s voice or if that’s the way the dog’s personality is really painted. Happy Reading!
