I found this book at a charity shop in London- an author unfamiliar to me, but the story sounds interesting.

I bought this in a charity shop in London - I wasn't familiar with the author but the blurb on the back sold it to me. It stayed on a shelf in London for a while and I picked it up on my most recent visit, finishing it on the train to France.
I've read a few articles about gas-lighting recently, and in the most recent UK Good housekeeping they talk about the Archer effect and emotional abuse- and this seemed to slide neatly into that universe. I don't want to create a spoiler, but this makes for a very good read. It's currently in France, we'll see where it goes from here.
