Pompeii

Picked up at last month's meetup. I can't remember who brought it, but they obviously didn't register it. Anyway, an interesting book - what seems to be a pretty realistic depiction of the Vesuvius eruption, mixed in with a bit of a detective story.

An intriguing read, making a human story of the Pompeii horror and hints leading up to what was about to unfold. It was 'just' a mountain; they had no idea.
I might have marked it ten, but I felt the ending could have been better. But a good pick-up.
I have passed this onto Needle-n-Thread to read. I'll get it back later to release.

Pompeii is an interesting story well told. One can live through what happened when Vesuvius explodes, raining ash down on everything in its path. The panic of people tying to escape.
