I see that the cover art has been updated yet again. I am amazed that this classic, in its umpteenth printing, is still attracting yet another generation of readers. I am not a reader of romances, but I had remembered loving this book when I was 12 or 13, so I re-read it recently just for the heck of it, and to see how my (very) mature self would react to it. I found that there's a timeless quaintness and innocence about it still. It is a simple picture of a bygone era of innocent young love.

Taking with me to Nassau County, NY meet-up at Fresco Creperie & Cafe, 150 E. Park Av, Long Beach (my first meet-up!) If no fellow book-crosser takes it home, will leave it at the Creperie if they allow it.
