"Commander Adam Dalgliesh is already acquainted with the Dupayne Museum in Hampstead, and with its sinister murder room celebrating notorious crimes committed in the interwar years, when he is called to investigate the killing of one of the trustees. He soon discovers that the victim was seeking to close the museum against the wishes of both staff and fellow trustees. Everyone, it seems, has something to gain from the crime. When it becomes clear that the killer is prepared to kill again, inspired by the real-life crimes from the murder room, Dalgliesh knows that to solve this case he has to get into the mind of a ruthless killer."

Once upon a time, I was working in a Mark Warner resort in Paleros, Western Greece. In order to get on a decent book-store I had to go all the way to Lefkas, not that far away, but not easy to travel there frequently when working 15 hours per day, every day... That's why often I was just reading whatever book our holiday-makers would drop in the lobby's bookcase or whatever other staff members were happy to lend me or give me as a gift.

I think this book comes from a huge books' box a friend left behind when she returned back home in Brighton, UK at the end of the season, maybe sometime around 2004 or 2005?

Anyway, I can't remember much but I think it was a good read. It started its journey somewhere in UK, made it to Paleros, Greece, then followed me from Paleros to Delphi and remained on one of my bookcases for more than a decade. I think it is about time to release it and let it continue its journey...
