If you are a book lover, and even more so, a library lover, you've probably encountered a couple of the Unshelved comic strips somewhere. This is a pretty great collection, although I have to say I didn't like Hallbeck's art as much.
Added to the the manga/GN box
Cool, a comic strips about library. I've heard of this one before, maybe even read a few strips. It will be great for a book about books challenge. Thanks for sharing.
My first book of 2020, reading for the bookish book box that just arrived at my house.
I love library ever since I was a kid and a friend's mom brought me to the library for the first time. It really opened up the world for me, coming from a house of nonreaders and the only things I could read at home were the newspaper and the dictionary. At one point of my life considered a career in library. I rather enjoyed this comic strip.
My favorite is the one about Freedom to Read. One patron said that if we have to defend the freedom to read, someone must defend the freedom NOT to read. Well, that must be my husband... 😂
This book will now go into the Bookish Book Box.

Today I read the first Unshelved collection and this final collection. I loves seeing some of the changes that happened in drawing styles, story telling, and character development fro the start of the comic to the end. I am sad to know that this is yet another web comic I enjoyed whose story ended. But I did enjoy reading them over the years. This final volume with it's collection of strips from 2014 - 2017 was nice to revisit a well loved comic.

The Bookish book box is getting ready to travel again, which means that I have to journal all the ones that came back last year and determine if some have gone too many rounds and need to be pulled. This book made the cut and will go out in the new round.
