Don't confuse the Thommo in this story for Tommo out of Tommo and Hawke, another Bryce Courtenay classic.....

Ten mates who survived the Battle of Long Tan are suffering from physical and mental problems. They are brought together by Thommo's wife to help save their daughter Wendy's life in the most unusual way.

Just finished it this morning, it took me a while to start reading but it was a good book, with a nice ending and definately recommended.

Thanks again for the book, I enjoyed it, and I probably wouldn't have normally read it.

This arrived on Friday. Am looking forward to reading it. Thanks Blue183. Looks like it has done a full circle back to the suburb of Brunswick, Melbourne! I will pass on to Ruth013 when I am done.

The good ol' Aussie battler! I found this book quite good in that the Australian perspective of involvement in the Vietnam war is not something I have had a chance to read much about. And Courtenary has captured the psychological trauma of war, and it's effects, quite well.

Have mailed this off today to the UK, to Ruth013.
