Looks kind of sad...saving for a rainy day!
Arrived today - just in time for my 2004 Reading Challange! I'll be sure to read it(and hopefully pass it along it a fellow bookcrosser) before the end of the year!
I really enjoyed this book that yes, is truly about Midwives. So many times throughout this novel I found myself wishing I had become a midwife - I've thought about it several times over the years - what a wonderful profession - to catch babies.
This novel is about one womens journey through the judicial process that is the result of one of her 'mothers' death during birth. Not just the judicial process, but how it effected her husband, dauthers, other midwives around the country, as well as herself.
