Thank you deepswamp!! I heard lots of good things about this book and also love fairy tale retellings, though the combination with the Holocaust sounds kind of odd.. very curious to read it. Thanks again for the wishlist book and also for the lovely postcard and bookmarks (nice stamps too) :)

I just finished reading this and really liked the second part of the book, when Josef tells his story. I wish there was more of that and less of the part before. I didn't like the protagonist (Becca) at all, or any of the other characters, and the romance felt rather forced. I guess the second part redeemed the book for me.
