Great collection of short stories. I liked the one about Goose Fair.
Going to Deltic for the Nottinghamshire Book Exchange.
Enjoy

Thank you ReetPetite. I have read "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" before, but it DOES warrant another read. However, the other stories are new to me and I look forward to reading them. Thanks also for the bookmark and notepad and also "John Wesley's Rule". An excellent way to live indeed.

Photo will follow soon, when we have some daylight and I will then post on the thread too.

It was worth a second read, and it was definitely better this time round. Of al the stories, I enjoyed the final story "The Decline and Fall of Frankie Buller", most of all. The story about the Goose Fair inspired me to download Captain Marryat's book, "Masterman Ready" for my iPad. In the story it is the book the teacher is reaching to the class, but the boy's attention is wandering, as he thinks about the arrival of the fair.

To be released sometime over the weekend
