A time-travelling serial killer. Really complex characters. Lots of suspense. And well-researched details too.

Wow, it's been nine years since this book came out!
I just re-read it, and it holds up really well. I love how the House is so The House on the Borderland but also simultaneously a metaphor (especially in its relationship to the killer). And how the killer can be read as a time-travelling psychopath but also as a manifestation of patriarchy, snuffing out strong, resilient women (or trying to).
Still good, still in my ****Permanent Collection**** (Weird Fiction shelf).
