Breath of Iron (Clockwork Agents)

I picked this up because my musician friend, Eli August, is written in as a character. Also one of his songs is quoted at the beginning of the novel.
The romance was pretty good. The characters knew each other from before, so there wasn't that awkward getting to know you does she like me stage.
The steampunk world was interesting.
The plot stank. There needed to be some serious editing going on here. The main point, getting someone who was injured healed to safety, definitely takes the back burner to pretty much everything else. And it takes 100 pages to fix the ship. Then in 10 pages they've made it to their destination. Some parts were too rushed, some far too slow.
Meh. Pretty interesting world for steampunk, and as far as romance goes it's very unique.
