Actually read the book a while back but I am behind on my journal entries. Really enjoyed the story, like chips and salsa for the brain.

Put in a mailbag with some other books. I hope you enjoy them. I put in a couple of children's books as well for your grandchildren. Releasing those through my son's bookshelf - Zanders. Happy Reading!! And my husband and I both have dreamed of visitng New Zealand. It looks absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks DreissM. The chockful box of books took a while to reach me, partly through delays in the post and partly because when it did arrive I was overseas. However, the collection was a delightful surprise on my return and I'm enjoying a new supply of unselected books - sure makes for variety in ones reading.
Not hugely fond of Janet E's writing; in fact I find it hard to understand her popularity. I consider her stories to be somewhat akin to Mills and Boon although with a much much wider story line than M & Bs usually have. True I gave up reading those years ago. Chips and ketchup perhaps, but for the brain???
I did enjoy the story line for about 3/4 of the book but then it all got a bit far fetched. The characters were OTT but nevertheless believable but the love scenes!?! "The need for her tore at him, stealing his breath, his control, leaving in its wake raw desire."
However, the popularity of Janet Evanovich is ENORMOUS so my lack of appreciation must be the rare bit. Nevertheless, I did keep reading it to the end so it must have had something for me.
DreissM, I loved the little inserts, your photo, piece of calendar page and Scottish Terrier Rescue card. We had a Scottie dog when I was a toddler, name of Jock.
Release not yet planned, still got a bit of jetlag. Will journal when I do decide its best crossing zone.

Posted today 24th August to Sumoboy in Australia.
I do so hope he likes it, especially after my rather unfavourable review.
He does apparently find some merit in Janet E's writing in which case he might well rate it more highly.

Eeesh. Not my cup of tea. I like this authors more recent books but only becasue she no longer writes romance with love scenes.
Egads she's bad.

Found on the Cnr Castlereagh and Liverpool Sts. I'm looking forward to starting it as nothing is quite grabbing me in my bookshelf at the moment. I have yet to read any of this authors books. Janet Evanovich seems like a popular author and I sold a few of her titles at my previous workplace.
Thanks Sumoboy.
P.S I will keep my journal up to date.

A fun read! Nice to 'escape' for a while from work, etc.
I found it in the women's toilets at Central Train Station in Sydney some months back- and took a while to read it!
I'm heading to Adelaide, South Australia, tonight- and plan to leave it somewhere there- to help this little traveller continue on its journey!
