A Historical Romace set in Scotland. Claire Randall is on honeymoon with her husband in 1945 and walks through a stone circle to find herself in the 1743 with Jacobites and Redcoats. As a wartime nurse she can cope with many situations and soon finds herself tending wounded men. She finds herself falling in love with James Frasier a Scots warrior. The tale unfolds and you are caught up in the lives of these people and all that happens to them. A good compelling read.

Purchased in the Oxfam charity book shop Cambridge. I enjoy historical and fantasy books and this appealed to me despite seeming from the book reviews to be a book primarily read and enjoyed by women - I am a middle-aged male! The reviews also appeared to concentrate on the allegedly graphic sex scenes, but I wouldn't say they were overly graphic? The historical detail was excellent and all in all it was a rattling good adventure story. I am hanging on to it for now as I may read it again.
