After coming back from holidays I found this book in my letter box. Thanks to Andrasthe for sending.
It`s a strange story. But what you can see clearly is the way a community reacts unisono towards something unnormal. There are lots of examples for villages where the people do something that you would not believe them to do. In general, all that is not normal is unnormal and must be eliminated. This book plays with that motto.
The book will travel as a Ray.

...in Plön habe ich es dann mitgenommen: ich wollte schon immer mal eine Erzählung von Shirley Jackson lesen und dieses Buch ist auch besonders hübsch gestaltet...
