Historical fiction novel about a nineteenth century woman who looked after her 6 sisters and father after their mother died. She wanted to make sure that they made good marriages rather than marriage for dowries or convenience. She also wanted to escape the attentions of a Baron whose proclivities she knew about and abhorred. If only the rest of the aristocracy could she behind the Baron's piety. He wanted to marry her. And her father had promised her hand in marriage to him. What lengths would she go to to escape the Baron's clutches. . .

A bit of historical romance/fluff. Not much to the story but an easy read.
