I found this book in the Minibieb Lincolnlaan in Goes, The Netherlands. It was there for a while, so I took it out so it can continue its journey elsewhere.

Adam Deveril, the new Viscount Lynton, returns from the Peninsular War to find himself faced with the necessity of providing for his sisters and settling his father's debts. A wealthy marriage is the only answer to such problems but, with his affections already engaged, Adam at first sees little merit in the arrangement proposed by the plain-speaking Jonathan Chawleigh. Practical yet shy, Jenny Chawleigh knew Adam was not in love with her - but how she wished he could be.

Just picked up the book at Turnhout. I'm reading it right now, and since I'm leaving for Chicago tomorrow, I'm going to have to release it there somewhere. Thanks for the book, for now it's safe with me!
I really loved the book; even though it starts you out in the mood that reminds you a bit of Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer is - in my opinion - a lot smarter and more realistic & pragmatic. I love how the whole Napoleon/Waterloo affaire is woven into the story, and I love how it's not about a big romance overcoming everything, but more about quiet intimacy. This makes it very smart en recognizable.
I passed this book on to my aunt in the Chicago area, who promised to let it go as soon as she read it!
