I love this book, but then I've always been partial to a good mystery.
At a Halloween party, 13-year-old Joyce, who is prone to tall tales, boasts that she once witnessed a murder. She storms off home when no one believes her. Hours later her body is found, still in the house, drowned in an apple bobbing tub.
Hercule Poirot is called to investigate, but first must establish whether he is looking for a murderer or a double murderer…
