I am having a hard time getting into this. Torn whether to continue. Four characters from different places and times are featured in alternating chapters: an elderly artist in Italy, his increasingly blind neighbor that was once his pupil, an American artist who used to write the older artist for advice, and the American's daughter grieving the death of her twin brother. All are so sad and distant I don't know if I want to make the effort to see how everything comes together.

Will release to allow another reader a chance at it.
