This was kindly donated at my World Book Night 2013 celebration. The Amazon reviews look very positive so I intend to read it and release it while on holiday.

I don't like to give up on a book but this one just isn't for me. I'm a sceptic and although I enjoy a good fantasy story, I'm not able to suspend my disbelief sufficiently to enjoy this plot premise. However, there are some redeeming qualities (the portrayal of the Dad character is touching) so no doubt someone else will get pleasure from this book. Time for it to go travelling...
