"What is the worst lie a president can tell?

I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky."

Or...

He has weapons of mass destruction - the world's deadliest weapons - which pose a direct threat to the United States, our citizens and our friends and allies."

One of those lies got a president impeached. The other lie not only got the liar who told it the war he wanted, but also resulted in huge business deals for his friends and virtually assures him a landslide victory in the next election." (p.41)

Michael Moore's mission is to prevent "the liar" from winning the election, and he uncovers another series of "Whoppers" and asks for explanations in his typical, polemic, populist way, that we already know from his previous best-selling book Stupid White Men.

This is the British edition, with a special introduction to the "members of the Coalition of the Willing". I got this through German "BookCrossing Yulklapp", courtesy of Primel75. Thanks again!

The book was waiting for me after the return from a short New Year's break. Thanks Herrundmeyer! I promise to read it asap and will comment after reading it...

I recently had the opportunity to see Moore during his road show through Germany ... a two-hour one-man comedy show. The crowd cheered, I wasn't sure whether to laugh or to cry...

Released on Friday, January 23, 2004 at An einen anderen Bookcrosser verschickt. in Hamburg, Germany Controlled Releases.

Finished reading. Off to Bruehwuerfel...

Michael Moore is getting better. This book seems much more structured than "Stupid White Men" and a line of argumentation can be noted. I liked this one, although it contained no real news or insight for me. Moore's suggestions on who could run for next president are disappointing and should not be taken too serious (by the time he wrote the book he thought Ophrah Winfrey would defeat Bush in the next elections. From his website http://www.michaelmoore.com we learn that he now endorses Gen Wesley Clark). Actually Mike himself would have a fair chance to win, if he ran ...

I found it in our mailbox today.Thank you Peter.

I haven't read "Stupid White Men" before and "Dude where's my Country" is the first book I read by M.M...
I don't know really what to say..
His arguments are well but... hm.. he used a lot of bad words ;) I don't know how really to say..But somehow I got bored when I read and a lot of things wasn't really new for me.But elseway few things were interesting..

Maybe I didn't understand a lot of things because of my leck of english..

But all in all I can say i was not really satisfied by this book..

I guess this entry is a little messed but I dont know how to express my feelings about this book...

Jubel! Supi!

The lost book was found in my post box. Nobody could tell me where it had stayed for some weeks, but finally I have it! So let's be happy :).
