gripping, sweet, endearing, violent at times. I enjoyed it as much as "the lollypop shoes", although I must admit that halfway through, I was a bit fed up with niqab, kameez and minarets.

Good read although there seemed to be a lot of repetition.
I didn't really follow who was who but it was OK.
The children were described very well.
Thanks.

This book is one of the many books (hopefully not too many, I was trying to be restrained in the numbers I picked up!) I brought home from the wonderful Leeds UK Unconvention.
Thank you very much indeed, ReetPetite, for a very welcome present from my wish list.
I'd added this title because I've previously enjoyed many books by this author, especially Chocolat and The Lollipop Shoes! It was lovely to see you again :-)
It was good to see you'd left the flower photograph from Tamsine in the book!

Journal Entry 8 by wingNu-Kneeswing at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Monday, September 30, 2013
I've decided to come clean and admit that two very kind and generous BookCrossers gave me copies of this same book from my Wish List over the weekend! Thank you both very much indeed!
As Mai-day, one of the local organisers of the very successful Leeds Unconvention, expressed an interest when we were travelling by coach to visit Haworth Parsonage/Bronte Museum yesterday afternoon, I've decided to pass one of them on to her with my Thanks and Congratulations!

As it's a small paperback (comparatively - 541 pages isn't short!), this is the one I'll post - and my comments on the other one can be found here :-)

Journal Entry 9 by wingNu-Kneeswing at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Friday, October 4, 2013
That was amazing, quite amazing! I love Chocolat and The Lollipop Shoes but I think this third in the trilogy surpasses them both! I loved it, couldn't put it down, a real page-turner! It was good to meet friends old and new - and a few enemies as well!
Vianne is living on a houseboat in Paris when a letter left for her by a long-dead friend summons her back to Lansquenet-sur-Tannes. Leaving Roux, she returns with her daughters, Anouk now 15 and Rosette 8, to the village where she had her Chocolaterie all those years ago. Yes, the Monsieur le Cure of the title is the same priest as before, Francis Reynaud.
Highly recommended!
Thank you :-)
