"National Review" editor Bill Buckley wrote this tale of his small-boat trans-Atlantic crossing with his son and five friends. Excellent read back then (1977), though I remember non of the specifics. Dad read it next and compiled a list of vocabulary highlights from the text, with definitions. A copy is enclosed with the release into the wild. Enjoy.
