While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

Given to me by my sister Hayley and her partner Graeme. I've read this before:
I just didn't find this book very exciting. It's abit slow going and not an awful lot happens. It was a chore getting through the first half. I only really started to enjoy it when it got to when Briony was a nurse. After reading all the cleaning stuff they had to do, the nurses would be shocked to walk onto a NHS ward today, where they sometimes don't even get around to cleaning the blood off the walls. I guessed who had really abused Lola straight away but to be honest I didn't really care about any of the characters that much to hate them for what they did or feel bad for them. The only ones I did feel bad for were the injured soldiers and they were only in the book for a little bit. This book is an okay read but I don't think it deserved to be shortlisted for the brooker prize.
