I read Lucky after I read The Lovely Bones. It is a memoir of Alice Sebold, the author of The Lovely Bones. It was very interesting reading her true story after reading and enjoying her fictional work.
Lucky is a great title. I have personal issues with that word and found it an excellent title for this book. Being lucky, while it sounds positive, usually has a negative connotation. It is often a double edged sword.
I was alittle disappointed at the lack of depth in some areas of the story. However, being a memoir maybe those roads were too hard to go down. Or maybe she wanted to focus on only a small area of her life. I'm just nosey and I wanted more information on her family. The end seemed crammed in there just to finish it up. It was as if she just gave a hint of her family life and got tired of writing it towards the end. Who knows maybe an editor told her to cut the stuff out. I enjoyed the book and found it interesting. She is a great author and I can't wait to read another book from her.

I left this on a book shelf in the Acoustic Cafe at our bookcrossing meeting. I didn't do anything special to it so I hope someone takes the time to read the inside cover!
