Hornby is a hilarious author, so I enjoyed this book. It was hard for me personally to relate to the protagonist, but it was still a good read.

Picked up at Brunch with Books yesterday in Fort Collins. Organized by Stinalyn.

This is not the type of book I would usually pick up (yay for BookCrossing), but it resonated with me in ways a book hadn't in awhile. I carried it around with me in hopes I would have a moment to read a little more. Why does a story about a pathetic marriage seep into my pores? I really am not sure .. I am pretty happy in my life and actually have a wonderful husband. This story is more about what it means to be good than how to be good. How do you define goodness? Does it mean saving a homeless kid from sleeping on the street or does it mean making sure your own kid knows they are loved? Can you be good if you don't go to church? So many interesting thoughts running around in my head.

My friend at work returned it...I don't get the feeling she had as good as an experience as I did...oh well.

So...this "H" book will head out as part of iwillrejoice's H bookring. Hopefully it will find another to love it!

Iwillrejoice's ABC Bookring "h" books arrived, yay!!! This was an easy choice for me as I already read the other h book. Adding mine and they will now be on the way to Mngirl. I have her address so I'll mail them Saturday. And I'm pretty sure I've read one or two of Hornby's non-fiction books too. I'll have to go back and peek thru my reading lists.
