Mr Greene is one of my favourite authors and so considering how prolific he was it's not suprising that there are some of his works which folk find better than others.
For me, I prefer his darker work like 'The Quiet American' and 'Brighton Rock'. Perhaps when I am older and I revisit 'The End of the Affair' again, I will appreciate it more. At the moment it's just a little too much 'out there' for my liking. Anyway, I am sure that there are plenty of romantics who will enjoy this short book and hopefully will read some other Graham Greene.
Enjoy!!
