I happened to be logged in right when this book was being released (it popped up in the "last three released" column). I sent a private message to the bookcrosser who released it and she was kind enough to set it aside for me. I picked it up yesterday and I'm already on page 83. Thanks, AbbeyF!
A beautifully written but very disturbing vision of the future. This is not a "feel good" book. It takes the ideas of genetic engineering to a very dark and extreme conclusion. A book to make you think. I liked it enough that I want to read it again, knowing the ending, to see how things gradually went to that point of no return.
I plan to loan this to a non-bookcrosser friend. After she finishes it she'll give it back to me and I'll release it into the wild.
