The 'Confessions of a BookCrosser' Journal #2
8 journalers for this copy...
Found another GREAT, thick, hardcovered, blank book and have decided to circulate a second journal where seriously addicted BCers reveal the truth about their experiences in this movement. How bad is your addiction?? Do you go into convulsions each time you are near a book store (new OR used)? Do you adopt commando-like stealth tactics when your release books into the wild? Have you found some really interesting releasing spots? Have your 'caught' books generated any unusual journal entries? AND...do you now have a network of BC pals around the world who are just as addicted as you are or worse? Well, here is your chance to reveal all. The no-holds-barred journal for the chronic reader and releaser!! Oh, and it would be really nice if you could include with your journal entry a picture from where you live or of the journal in an interesting spot.
Once again, I will be borrowing a travelling journal idea from the US with this one. It will be a "stealth" journal, moving from BookCrosser to BookCrosser, purely karma-driven - no one can request it from anyone else - the current holder decides who to send it to next. If you receive it, you can make a journal entry, but please don't make release notes and please DON'T release it into the wild. When it is full it should be sent back to the originator, Kiwikat, in this case!!
HAVE FUN and TELL ALL!!! :-)

I have finished making my confession and will now decide who the next 'confessor' should be. I'm not even going to say where it might be headed this time, as I want it to be a complete surprise to the recipient! Heehee! The picture is a view from our house looking out over Governors Bay and Lyttelton Harbour.
Journal Entry 3 by rarsberry from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Wednesday, October 15, 2003
Recieved it in my letterbox this morning.
Totally unexpected, but I suppose that's the idea of it.
Thanks heaps for including me in it KiwiKat.
I'll try to send it off as quickly as I can so others can write in it. :)
The photo is of my cat KC (short for Kitty Cat) with the journal out in the sun in my parents backyard.

This lovely surprise was waiting for me when I returned from town this afternoon (I only came home with one book for BXing, very unusual these days!)
I am sure I will find lots to write about my bookcrossing experience. Thanks for delivering it Rarsberry and thanks for starting it Kiwikat.
Its journey will continue soon....
The picture is of Dunedin looking over the harbour towards the Pacific Ocean.

Oh wow - what a surprise! I received the journal as well as a couple of other bookcrossing books today. I guess that is what it is all about! i get so excited when a book arrives and I generally have to start it straight away. That might explain why I always have half a dozen books on the go at any one time *grin* I plan to read, write & release to .....
It's finally on its way .....

Picked this up a couple of days ago from Ravenbear. I am very excited - it looks great. I can't wait to read it and add my piece.
I am a bad BCer. I totally forgot I had this until a reminder came from KiwiKat this morning. I grovel in apology.
So I sat down today to make a long and rambling entry (which is my usual wirting style), only to discover I had started writing on 26 May!
It is a perfect day for BC activities. It's Sunday afternoon and, for the first time in a long time, I am sitting listening to the sound of rain on the roof. I am putting the time to good use, catching up on some BC activities. The Australian meet-up is on in Sydney next weekend and I am labelling a stack of books for release. I am so looking forward to putting faces to some of the screen names I've read so much from!
I'm going to the Brisbane meet-up on Tuesday - I'll pass this on to someone there as a surprise.
Again, my apologies for being a slacker and holding this wonderful idea up.

Such a wonderful idea . . .

Over yum-cha this morning as the final Australian BC convention event, caldron surreptitiously passed the baton of this journal to me. Now given the recent exploits of the Kiwis and their infamous 'cheat book', I was sceptical of what this actually was. Now though, having read some of the entries it is packed with heartfelt little excerpts from BCers and their musings, confessions & revelations.
I shall need to put aside time to do this journal justice & choose the next bookcrosser to pass it onto.
Thank you caldron for entrusting me with it's next leg of it's journey & KiwiKat for the opportunity to be part of it.

The journal has returned. I will keep it safe for now until I decide what to do with it next. Should have at least signed your name in it G-S. ;-)
