I found the book difficult to follow as it is mainly written in the 2nd person but not consistently. It was difficult to get into and in patches I got bored. There are some moving moments.

A fascinating fictionalised stream of consciousness account of the actress Molly Allgood's life. It's written in a beautiful, poetic language that gripped me quickly - but the frequent use of the second person needed some getting used to for me as well. Still - recommendable!

I liked this unusual story of the Irish actress in the beginning of the century. It was quite melancholic and felt like a 'true' story even though it is fictional. The writing was sometimes a bit hard to follow but it felt very personal for that reason, like listening someone telling their story.
