The premise of the book is original, and yes, towards the end there is a big twist. Pay attention to the chapters entitled "Island Living"- which should have been printed in italics, as they form some kind of diary - because this is where the secret and the explanation lies. I enjoyed it, especially the last chapters, but I've seen better writing and plot management.
