When he was a young boy, Adam Reid stumbled into an enchanted forest where a beautiful fairy showed him the image of a woman who was destined to be his beloved. Years later, the adult Adam had dismissed this childhood incident as a delusion until he opens his door to discover Brigit Malone, the woman of his destiny.

Quite entertaining, and not as cheesy as I thought it would be. Definitely want to read the sequel.

This book reads just like its name, a fairytale. I was immediately drawn into its set up from the first couple of chapters, and enjoyed the rest of the book immensely as well. I thought that the characters are a little too tortured for me at times, and that Brigit, who spent most of the book either crying, sobbing, or fainting in Adam's arms, could have been a stronger heroine. Still, the author's writing skills are showcased wonderfully and one can't but be happy for Adam and Brigit when they finally get their happy ending.

Just did some reseach on-line and found out that its sequel, Forever Enchanted, just as I suspected, features Bridin and the villain of Fairytale. I thought that Darque was a really interesting character in Fairytale and can't wait to see how he's going to be redeemed. Hopefully I won't be disappointed.

7/14/06 Reserved for Karendawn, who picked it out of a romance VBB.

Arrived while I was on vacation. :) Thanks so much for sending it!

UPDATE Oct. 8, 2006: I'm having massive TBR anxiety and I'm doing a major clearing out of books from my shelf. I just can't deal with the stress of having so many TBRs right now. I'm adding this title onto a spreadsheet to keep track of as "books I might like to read someday" so that I can remember it if I ever feel like I'm more caught up with Mount TBR.
