This book is manual of Tao philosophy written in the form of a novel. It is designed to entertain and instruct as it brings the essentials of Zen practice and philosophy to life. I read it more for entertainment than enlightenment, and found it a rather slow-moving and heavy-handed, but quite interesting. Now it is time for it to find the next reader. Hope it has a long journey.

On this simply beautiful day, thousands of people gathered to hear His Holiness the 14th the Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso - generally known as the Dalai Lama - present "A Public Talk for New York" free in Central Park's East Meadow. As the crowd was dispersing, I placed this book in the path of those headed toward to the subway, balancing it just above the sidewalk, on a short iron railing surrounding a tree. I hope that the yellow post-it on the cover caught someone's eye and that this book has now begun a long journey.

I caught this book on 96th st., I think, on the east side of manhattan. I was just leaving the free speech that the Dali Lama gave in central park. I found it quite fitting that this was the time and place to catch a book of this kind. I finished the book while moving to Texas and I plan to release it here, in Corpus Christi. Hope the next person finds this as uplifting as I did. Many thanks to the woman who left it for me to find!
