I bought this book after reading the first few chapters waiting for my cousin to buy a tent and a sleeping bag in R.E.I. in College Park, Maryland. I was captivated by the story and the writing even though I had read the book called Alive by Piers Paul Read about the same plane accident in the Andes. When my cousin finally made his purchase, I decided to also make mine. I brought this book home to finish it.
