I live in the piney woods of East Texas. I have a very large flower and vegetable garden that seems to creep farther into the woods each year. I love to create new flower beds. I have built an earth oven in my garden as well as a labyrinth. There are lots of meandering trails.
I am an abstract painter. I mix the sandy soils of East Texas in my paints to give them lots of texture and character. I suppose this texture appeals to me because I have a love of adobe (hence my earth oven).This stems from my annual trips to Santa Fe New Mexico and San Miguel Mexico. I am represented by a gallery in San Antonio.
I love to read...........many subjects......mostly non fiction. I read about whatever I am involved in at a particular time, such as: advancing my yoga practice, interests in philosophy, archeology, anthropology, health issue, training my dog, studying things related to my art such as divine proportions and sacred geometry, spiritual matters, labyrinths, etc. etc. I never travel without books and I usually buy one on extended trips.
