Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Book 1): Celebratory Edition
4 journalers for this copy...
Harry Potter thinks he is an ordinary boy - until he is rescued by a beetle-eyed giant of a man, enrols at Hogwards School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, learns to play Quidditch and does battle in a deadly duel. The Reason: HARRY POTTER IS A WIZARD!
And it's Harry Potter and the *Philosopher's* Stone, none of this bloody 'Sorcerer' business. Dashed colonials don't even know their Alchemy 101.
Picked up at the convention farewell breakfast this morning. I've already read Harry Potter, but wouldn't mind re-reading it.
Still a fun book (though it's funny how much the film has influenced my reading of it now - all the characters suddenly have recognisable voices ;-)) - one to come back to every few years, I think.
