Registering this one for the Australian Bookcrossing Conference 2004. As I write these words it's just gone dawn on the first day as the sun lights up the YHA building just over the way. I'll be heading down to Martin Place in a few minutes to hand out free books to the people strolling to work. Such fun!

I liked the cover, very peaceful.Intend to read while hooked up to horrible stuff. My memory is coming back and I do remember picking up this book and two others by same author.Must be jet-lagged.

I didn't enjoy this as much as the other two from Lytteltonwitch's clutch of books. But it was still a good read. I'll take it out to breakfast and see if anyone else wants it.

Unlike awhina, I think I enjoyed this one more than the other two (it seems we're doomed to disagree on every book we read!). The characters are seriously messed up, but I liked how Sally was kind of an outside observer of her family. Some nice themes of giving up and letting go.

Passed on to Cathietay at tonight's meetup.

Futurecat handed this to me as soon as I arrived tonight - she knows I am a Rowntree fan thanks to bookcrossing. Looking forward to sinking into another one.

Like Futurecat I enjoyed this book - I think what I like most is that the family is not perfect. They love each other despite their differences and the fact that sometimes they hardly on speaking terms.
The children's memories of summer happy; enough.
I left this at Holiday's bach at Geraldine - hope she enjoys it & journals it.
