Gridlock is when a city dies: killed in the name of freedom. Killed in the name of oil and steel; choked on carbon monoxide and strangled with a pair of fluffy dice.

And when was this written? 1991. Yes, Ben Elton was pointing this stuff out long before you were allowed to talk about it, even in impolite company.

I picked up this copy from the consistently congested book swap in Waitrose Cafe, Cheltenham, where people talk, drink coffee, eat cake, consult mobiles and generally do anything other than reading.
