This is quite an old book (Published in 1988) which I picked up not that long ago as it looked interesting. It is the story of the last voyages of 8 ships which either disappeared completely or even more interestingly, were found a float with no one on them. It goes over the evidence, the misguided suggestions as to what had happened (and in some cases blatant lies) and discusses what could have happened. I have chosen Samoa as one of the boats was lost close to this Island. It is not the most riveting of reads, however very interesting! The last story of the Teignmouth Electron is particularly sad, the Mary Celeste probably the most intriguing,
