Thank-you, Poodlesister for sending me this wishlist book. I picked it up to journal it, and was delayed because I started reading it, and had to finish chapter 1!

Sending this as a wishlist tag game book.
Its a fascinating read, written by a well known and respected journalist, and leaves me wondering why I was taught history from a male perspective, even though I attended an all girls school, and was actually taught by a women who had been on a suffragette march as a young child!
Hopefully the situation will change over time....meanwhile, this book should be required reading for all history students.
