Fifth book in the Earth's Children series, Auel's stone age epic. Finally Ayla's long journey with Jondalar is over as she reaches the Ninth Cave of the Zelandonii. But first she must get her horses and her wolf accepted, and with her beauty and strong personality she makes enemies. There are challenges ahead as they go to the Summer Meeting for Ayla and Jondalar to be joined. I enjoyed this but got to admit I skipped some of the lengthy descriptive passages.
