I'm in a panic here. I bought wings just to have "last journalled". I'm also dying w/out the "show only books in my possession" checkbox. Without those two features, I'm sunk. My BC useage revolves around those. *cries*

My book club is reviewing the book this Wednesday, and then my copy is free to travel. I noticed this is on quite a few wish lists, and my local library still has a backlog of at least 21 reserves, so this seems to be qu…

Since The Chef Jeff project premieres next week, I thought this would be a great time to start a bookring for Chef Jeff's memoir. It's the story of a tough kid in South Central Los Angeles who becomes one of the area's m…

I do a lot of book trading, and like to make release notes when sending my books off into the wild. To avoid spamming everyone in my local area w/ release alerts, I always use the "controlled releases" setting when enter…

I just stumbled upon this in a blog, but it sounded like the perfect event for bookcrossers. On April 17th, there's a call to donate teen/YA novels to North American hospitals for teen patients. They've got a slew of boo…

I'm a huge fan of both Dream Theater and Rush, so they get my nods for favorites :) A couple absolute gems: http://www.last.fm/music/Dream+Theater/_/Hell%27s+Kitchen+%28LP+Version%29 http://www.last.fm/music/Rush…

Anyone out there still need to read this classic bit of fantasy literature? I've got a copy that's been in my possession for FAR too long, and it needs to travel again. First USA member to PM me with an address gets it…

I'm starting a bookray for one of my all-time favorite books. It's a young adult novel that weaves an intriguing web of space-faring and ancient cultures. The book centers around Kichebo, a cheetah with a peculiar black …

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend. We were discussing discovering long-lost authors from our childhood, and realized we've both got books we remember vividly, but don't have a clue about the title or author. I asked…

I rarely think I could write one *better* than one I'm reading, but I do have 5 NaNoWriMo novels to my name :) Going for #6 this year, and maybe someday I'll actually try to polish up and submit one of the earlier ones…

I've been extremely active on paperbackswap.com (and more recently bookmooch.com), but bookins is rapidly growing to be my favorite trading site. Yes, it does cost $3.99 to receive a book, but I no longer have to pay up…

I'm up for meets, but I don't have much in the way of trade fodder just yet. Everything's TBR :) As a sidenote, the Wilde Playhouse OBCZ is long gone. They closed up shop a couple of years ago, and I never heard a pe…

I'm hoping to add a few more participants before sending this ray out to travel. The book is Death: The High Cost of Living, a graphic novel from the extremely popular Sandman series. The book stands alone, so you don'…

I know Gaiman (and his Sandman series) are quite popular here, so I thought I would offer Death up as a bookray. It's a standard-sized graphic novel - long enough to be interesting, but short enough to not interfere wit…
