most of my bookshelves hold books...stacked in whatever way I can fit them in. But I also have a DVD/VHS player and assorted knick-knacks on one shelf.
What I really need is a spare room to make into a library! :)

I would count a "re-read" as part of the total, provided that you read cover to cover and not just your favourite chapters. It's a valid read, just not a new one.
