That's the price of a couple of hardcover books.
Or potentially the price of 50 used books in a charity shop. I would be hesitant to pay that much for a public library (unless CDs and DVDs we…

At my local public library you can reserve a book from any of the libraries in the city, and it costs £1 if you want a letter telling you that it's ready for you at the library of your choice, or alternatively you can se…

Sure you can! At least you certainly can in both grocery and convenience stores around me. Bags of them (usually salted) are often sold in the snack sections.
I meant in the UK, rather than …

Do you eat pumpkin seeds with or without the shell?
I've never bought a pumpkin. I might if I had a car, but they're a bit heavy to carry home! I buy pumpkin seeds, but they are all shelled. I…

There are epic fails. I love the one with the Harvard chick.
The odd thing is, they all seem to realise they've said the wrong answer, so it's not like the epic fails where a person really doe…

1) Did you play with dolls as a child? Yes. 2) If so, what sort of dolls? Dolls that I was given for Christmas from my aunt, and paper dolls that I drew myself. 3) And did you grow up to like babies and/or clot…

Everyone is selfish, to some extent. We have a survival instinct. There's nothing wrong with that. It would not be healthy if we didn't have it. The instinct to have children, which many have, is to do with the surviv…

I don't see how. Even getting a list of books with "most individual journal entries" won't tell you whether or not they've actually been *read*!
This is true. It's not like a site specifically…

Does anyone feel like this? I feel very unfulfilled, like I am just floating through life, going nowhere.
Just a thought - do you have sensory integration difficulties? This time of year can c…

I have no idea if it's a tradition or not. No one else in my family has ever done this. I think I'm the only one who even likes Christmas cake. But I realised one day it would go well with cheese, and so I eat them toget…

You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

I find it by far the easiest to read, because it has fewest distracting bits, the letters have even thickness, and are angled so you can tell them apart easily. If I had my way, everything would be in Comic Sans! :-)

I don't understand those you talk about a lisp, nor those you say he's fat. I don't hear a lisp - only an accent - and he's not overweight. For interest here's the speech he gave at the TED award: http://pr…

I think what people arfe hearing is his accent - with the stopped *th* and the occasional *f* substituted.
Yeah, that's what I thought at first, but if you watch him talk, he actually looks li…

I beg to differ, considering that his mission is to fight obesity I think his own appearance - read 'increasing chubbiness' - is something that other people will take note of.
Gosh - he's hard…

I don't love him or hate him. He's a guy who's found a niche for himself, and is doing well for himself, and having a positive impact on awareness of food and health. He is not particularly good looking, and yes, he is c…

What I don't like about him is that he's got a lisp ( a strong one) and it bothers me and it makes him harder to understand.
I'm curious what you mean by that - how you describe his lisp. He i…

Did you then leave a negative score so as to warn others?
No, I didn't, because the person was waiting till I scored him before he scored me, and that was in the time when sellers could leave …

The majority of sellers are quick to replace something if it is faulty. This happened to me just the other day, when I bought headphones that were so flimsy they broke when I started to use them. The seller replaced them…

I've always liked fruit, since I was a little girl. I especially like bananas, raspberries and grapes. As for veg, my favourites are sweetcorn, peas and cucumber. I do know people who don't eat any vegetables, but mos…

This is also why I barely read anything for pleasure at the moment, because I know I get like this, and then I will get frustrated because I don't have the time to read all I want to. So I read this way for college inste…

If I buy crusty bread, like a baguette with a crispy crust, well, the crust is the best bit. But some bread has boring dry crusts which aren't very nice, and then I don't eat them.

I'm so jealous - I'd love to go to a James Galway concert! Maybe you can take some cold medication that can clear your head and keep the sniffles at bay.
